The use of "generations" for portions of the text in the discussion are not informative. The Confidence intervals that were used in the paper will always miss the mode of the distribution, if the mode is the first or last generation that was calculated. Additionally, visualization of the predictions is continuous, but the predictions are suggested to be discrete (=distance in meioses). The discussion on what to do when a prediction has their mode on 40 meioses, or whether 40 meioses is sufficient to predict for genealogical distances is not mentioned, for the first, it should omit the prediction as it is not confirmed to be complete.
